White Honored By League For Suffrage MarchIS:It —madree p. whiteMrs. Madree Penn White, one of the founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority was among a group of 14 women recently honored by the Cleveland League of Women Voters in this Area. The League honored those women who had marched in any suffrage parade or campaign for women's right to vote.Mrs. White first marched In 1913 as part of the celebration of the lnaguration of Woodrow Wilson as part of delegation from Delta SlgraaThetaSorori-ty. She was also a member of the committee headed by Carrie Chatman Catt, which worked to get the women's right to vote legislation out of committee.The award from the Le^ue to Mrs. White read, diploma Is awarded In recognition of your efforts to achieve women suffrage and in appreciation of your presence at the 46th annual meeting of the League of Women voters.Mrs. White returned to Washington to march again 50 years later where she led the Delta contingent marching in the 1963 March on Washington*I*
