She doesn’t like boxing and I love boxing. Other than that, I guess we’re exactly alike.”The former Miss Venezuela, who made her first splash in American films in a now-famousbathtub scene with Robin Williams in “Moscow on the Hudson,” plays an officemanager at a construction company who gets involved in the personal and professional life of her boss in “One of the Boys.”In addition to showcasing Alonso’s comedic talents, which may have slipped unnoticed past fans more familiar with her serious film work (“Colors,” “Running Man,” “Extreme Prejudice”) or her recording career (she has been nominated twice for Grammys), the new show puts a long-overdue spotlight on a different Latin character.“It’s important to show Latins who come from good families, who do have an education, who do have some class and who know how to speak several languages,” the actress said. “We are not all poor and work as maids, which is the image that most Americans are used to seeing on television.“It seems that all of a sudden, Latins are in hot demand,” she added, “but we’ve always been here and the fires have always been inside us.
