JOHN CHARLES GRAHAMPeacefully on September 22.2003 at the GraceHospital, Dad passed away at the age of79 vears.♦He will be lovingly remembered ant! greatly missed by his wife Margaret; daughters, Susan (Trevor) McDougall, Jocelyn (Dan) Noyd and Moira (Monty) Summaeh and nine grandchildren. Dad also leaves to mourn his brother Neil and wife Margaret as well as his nieces and nephews. He .was predeceased by his parents and brother Russeil and his wife Gertrude.Dad was born on June 29, 1924 in Cambridge P.E.I. At the age of 18, be joined the Navy and served his country in the Second World War on the HMCS Lindsay, seeing action in the Battle of the Atlantic. Following the war, Dad and Mom were married and in 1953 moved their family to Red Lake, ON, where Dad worked for the Madsen Gold Mines. In 1963, the family returned to Winnipeg and Dad worked for Dominion Bridge until his retirement in 1993. Dad was a gentle, quiet man who enjoyed reading, travelling and sporting activities, especially soccer and golf. Most of alt, he enjoyed being with his family.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2:00 p.m. at the Good News Mennonite Church, 2764 Ness Avc., Winnipeg, MB with interment to follow at the Mennonite Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Back to the Bible or Compassion Canada.The family wishes to thank Pastor Rick Bettig, the Grace Hospital, 3N staff and all those that provided compassion, care and support over the last year since Dad’s stroke.Dad is safe in the arms of the Lord.Wiebe Funeral Home, Altona in care _of arrangements. 1-204-324-5404
