STEVENSPresident of Gettyaborg National Bank, the Baltimore and Cumberland Valley Railroad, Trustee of the Pennsylvania College and Promoter of the National Cemetery.Special to The Inquirer.Gettysburg, Oct. .27—David Wills, Republican candidate for Judge in this, the Forty-second district, dropped dead this afternoon at his home in this place. He was engaged with a client, gasped once or twice and was dead from neuralgia of the heart. He was in his sixty-fourth year.He was born in this county, and was graduated from Gettysburg College in 1851. He studied law under Thaddeus Stevens and W'as admitted to the bar of this county in 1854, where he has ever since practiced. He was president of the Gettysburg National Bank, president of the Baltimore and Cumberland Valley Railroad and a trustee of Pennsylvania College. He was instrumental in establishing the National Cemetery in this place from which has resulted the development of this great battlefield. 1874'he was defeated for Judge of this district by the present incumbent.His wife, who died a few years ago, waS the daughter of the late Judge Daniel Smyser, of Norristown. Judge Wills was a prominent man in the Presbyterian Church, and was frequently sent as a delegate to the General Assembly.
