Oct. 11. in St. Catharine Church tor Mrs. Anna McAllister, biographer, and one of the founders and first president of the National Society of Arts and Letters. Mrs. McAllister died Monday Oct. 9. at 73. mrs. McAllister wrotethree biographies: “EllenEwing—1The Wife of General Sherman*; “In Winter We Flourish,” and “Flame in the W'ilderncss,” life of Mother Angelia Gillispie, American foundress of Sisters of Holy Cross.SHE WAS A MEMBER ofthe Catholic Women’s League, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Columbus Chapter of the Na-• tional Society of American Pen Women.She is survived by a brother. Francis W. Shannon, and nieces and nephews.Burial was in St. JosephCemetery.
