FOSTER: Eva Mildred Foster(Black) of Brandon passed away 6n November 13, 2000 at the Assiniboine Centre. Eva was bom September 14, 1919, on a farm 17 miles southeast of Kil-lamey in the Holmfield District. There she was raised, and received her education at Rose Valley Country School and Kil-lamey High School. Eva worked at the Naval Distributing Authority in Ottawa during WorldWar II. While in Ottawa, shewas reacquainted with John Garnet Foster, whom she married on March 16, 1946. They returned to Manitoba in 1947 and settled in Brandon, where she had since'R' • v ?resided. Eva was always active with her family and in her home life. She very much enjoyed family gatherings where many ^ames were played. Eva liked to play bridge and shuffleboard, and enjoyed to travel when able(o do so. She is survived by her fon Jim (Allison) of Calgary; daughter Deb of Brandon; grandson Jason of Calgary; sister Rhena (Heb) Bate of Killar-pey; one nephew and five nieces. She was predeceased by herfather Roy in 1940; mother Mildred in 1969; husband Garnet in 1977; and brothers Harvey in 1992, and Bob in 1994. Funeralservice will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Friday, November 17, 2000 with Mona Franklin officiating. Active pallbearers will be Glen Moffat, Bob Sanders, Brad Thiessen, Ken Ruskin, Everett Milne, and Bob Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Fred ffeeney, Larry and Eileen fierce, and Paul and Charlotte Brose. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery.
