MAY’: Donna Arlene May (nee Stacey), wife of Hugh M. May. passed away with her family at her side on Thursday October 23. 2(K)8 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Brandon at the age of 69. Donna was born August 25. 1939 in Holmfield, Manitobaand was raised in Killarneyalongside many cherished lifelong friends and extendedfamily members. Donna was always driven and independent and during her early years she worked for the Imperial Bank of Commerce and theRCMP. In 1959. Donna married her high school sweetheart with whom she lovingly shared her life and family with. All five of their childrenwere born in Virden. In addition to raising and caring fortheir family, Donna also volunteered in many levels ofcommunity; the Kinettes Club, CAMR as a volunteer at theMerry Manor residence, andwithin her children's schools.Her generous and caring nature shone through all aspects of her life and touched many. Donna, Hugh, and family moved to Brandon in 1980where Donna returned to theworkforce in 1983 at McKenzie Seeds and then the Brandon and Area Planning District working with Hugh until her retirement in 1995. Donnaenjoyed recreational bowling, crafting with friends, and had a deep passion for gardening. She enjoyed keeping up with curling, golf, and her favourite hockey teams. She deeply cherished her grandchildren and was so proud of each one. Donna was pre-deceased by her father Eddie and motherEvelyn. She is survived byhusband Hugh; daughter Lisa(Bob) Sanders; sons: Stacy, Tony and Doug (Rosa) and daughter Erin, as well as her grandchildren; Branden, Cait-lin. Devin, Derek. Emma.Tove, Liam and Marybeth and many other relatives and friends who will all miss herdearly. The Ceremony to Celebrate Donna's Life washeld on October 28. 2008 atMemories Chapel with Rev. Cole Grambo officiating. Interment followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.Donations in memory of Donna may be made to the charity of your choice. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the many friends and family members who have showntheir support, encouragement and love during this time. Thanks also to Rev. ColeGrambo for his compassion.
