[Get an instructorOn the31st ult,. after a long end suffering illness from dropsy, Madison Tilly, one of Cleveland’s well known pioneer colored citizens departed thislife at his residence on Hill street. Hisdeath was not unexpected, as ho hauh ad several severe relapses. The fanerai eervices were held from SL John schurch, Wednesday, the 2d, at twoo’ clock p. m.f Rev. R A. Johnson of-delating. There was avast attendanceof both white and, colored. Mr. Tilly was born in Murfroes*boro, Tenu., seventy-eight years ago, and came to Cleveland about fifty years ago, cpdte poor.
