OBITUARYJAMES LAYCOCKOn March 13th, 1967 at the Mise-rioordia Hospital, James Lay cock, aged 62 years, beloved husband of Ethel Laycock of 121 Sherburn St., Winnipeg. Funeral service was held in the Thomson Funeral Chapel on March 16th. The Rev. David Conly and Marguerite Miller officiated. Mr. Donald Hume sang “Unto the Hills”. Interment was In St. Vital Cemetery.Mr. Laycock was born in the Municipality of Ellice and farmed for many years in the Foxwarren district before moving to Winnipeg where he was employed as a machinist with the Winnipeg Tribune. He was Past Master of the Foxwarren Masonic Lodge No. 152 and past patron of the Eastern Star. He was also an active member of Foxwarren and Greenwood United Churches.Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. A. R. (Marjorie) Woitte of Wetaskiwin, Alberta and Mrs R. J. W. (Verna Lou) Smith of Detroit, Michigan; seven grandchilren, and two brothers, Walter and Ross of Foxwarren.Pallbearers were Messrs. J. Hard-iman, N. Froom, W. Smith, R. j Black, G. McCrindle and J. Cooper. |
