Lawson. 89, DiesA lifelong and highly esteemed resident ol Esquesing Township, Alexander I I awson passed awayon March II, 1963 in Milton District I lospital at ter a short illness.I he late Alexander Lawson was born at Lot I, Concession 5 ofI squesing Township, No\emher2. 1873, and spent his entire lifein this communitv. Hi'- wife, thelormer Mary Ann Scott predeceased him in 1942 and since herdeath he had made his home withhis son David.Mr. Lawson was the second sun of a family of eight children born to William and Annie Law son. Others in the family surviving him are, one sister Mrs. W. T. Burns (Annie) of Wauregan, Conn , and Norman H. Lawson olMilton.Also surviving are William Andrew of Windsor, David Alexander ol R.R. 5, Milton and Mrs. Russell King (Barbara) ol Horn bv, and seven grandchildren, Mrs.Ray Hofner (Gene) ol Ml. Clemens, Mrs. Ian Gilmore (Ruth) ol Port Credit, Mis. Lawrence Drummond (Betty) ol West Hill Mrs. Robert Moffat (Helen) of R R. No 3, Georgetown, Margaret ol Guelph General Hospital, and Arthur Lawson, and Leslie King ol Hornby, and six great grandchildren.During his lifetime he was deeply interested in the welfare andprogress of the community and iiis hobby was growing trees andflowers.He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, Milton. Ihe fu-neral was held from MacNab Son Funeral Chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.The funeral and burial were conducted by Rev. J. Lome Graham. The pallbearers were William A. Lawson, Hugh Beaty, Cameron Wilson, Dr. Ian Gilmore, Lawrence Drummond and Robert Moffat.
