Marian GilmoreMarian Gilmore, 75, of 210 W. Maple died at 1 a.m. June 10. 1984, at her homeShe was bom May 7,1909, at Ottumwa to Merrill and Ethel Jordan Gilmore. She attended the University of Kentucky and Rochester School of Music. She was a member of the New York Art Student League, the Ottumwa Art Club, Fort Nightly Club at Ottumwa and the Friends of Southeast Iowa Symphony. She did post office murals under the WPA in the 1930s in Corning and Corydon.She is survived by two sisters, Francis G. Gilmore Grubbs and Eileen G. Lister, both of Ottumwa; one niece; and one nephewThe body has been cremated. Memorials may be made to the Southeast Iowa Symphony in care of Ruth Seim, 141 E. Court, or the Robertson Jay Funeral Home.
