Prof. W. T. Gannaway died-at his homo at Trinity June 5th, ha?-ing been in feeble health for sereral years, l'rof. Gatinaway was *5 yet *j of age. II ia survived bv Ibne children, Mrs. N. E. Colt ran*. of Gibgon; Mil. Jeff Davis, of Mt. Airy; Mr, Ed Gantmway, ofTrinity, Mrs. John Field*, of Greensboro, and several grandchildren.Funeral serviced were oondtnled in the old college auditorium Monday afternoon by lie?. L. E. Stacy, after which the Iwdy was laid to reat in Old Trinity cemetery by the side of his wife.Prof. Gannaway was a sting president of Trinity Cullvgv during 180’i C.rl while I Vwdent Craven wan pawtf r of the First MotbodUt church in Kiilcigh and wag a proua*: r in the noilogi- for thirty years nftn wards.
