John C. Churchill Dead.OSWEGO, N. Y.» June 4.—John C.Churchill, ex-Justice of the Supremej Court, died here to-day, aged eighty-fouryears. He was admitted to the bar in1840. In November, 1866. he was electedto Congress from the Oswego District,serving from March 4, 1867, to March 4, 1871. A quarter of century ago he was elected Justice of the Supreme Court as a Republican, in what is now the FifthJudicial District. He retired on accountof age a short time ago.
