Culmer Schultz of First Methodist church officiated ad the foUowing served as bearers: William H. Muir, A. E. Kinney, C. Vance Weld, Robert L. Peterson, Shurl Glass and William M. Hill, Sr.Miss Hazeltine, the daughter of Dr. William Hazeltine and Isabella Hazeltine, received her early education in Warren High school and graduated in Warren High school and graduated with honor from Syracuse University.Later she attended Library School in Albany, N.Y, and for years held a distinguished position in libraries in Pittsburgh, St Louis, Buffalo and Providence.She specialized .in work for children and for years held a distinguished position in the School of Library Service as assistant professor at Columbia University.In 1943 she retired from Columbia and in 1944 brought out her first anthology Christmas in Legend and Story. In all, she had published ten anthologies and was working on the eleventh. They were all charming compilations of chinning stories for children and teenagers, which grown-ups an well could thoroughly enjoy.Miss Hazeltine had travelled widely and enjoyed many associations in Europe, England and Scotland. One of her favorite places for summer outings was Kennebunkport, Maine, where ahe spent many holidays.Her visits to Warren were always a joy to her, and her friends her© will recall her last visit here three years ago, as a memory always to be cherished.
