OBITUARY.MR, J. H. MATTHEWS, SOLICITOR,LONDON.The death has occurred, suddenly, at Ealing, near London, of Mr. John Hobson Matthews, a solicitor, formerly practising Jus profession in Cardiff. Mr. Matthews was chiefly known ior his antiquarian researches. He:was engaged as archivistwas the writer of other works, including “The History of the Hundred of TYorme-low in I lend orris hire*/* and “ The Vaughans of Cou.rffield.’* Mr. Matthew's was a convert to the Catholic faith.—II'. 1.P.
