J. F. Mayhew, 80,Dies In Yorfctoni • ^James. F. Miybew, SO, of York-ton, Sask., office manager of the Yorkton Enterprise from 1931 to 1953,. and father of the piper's editor, Kenneth M. Mayhew, died Monday, in Yorkton General Hospital.’Born in Renfrew, Ont., Mr. Mayhew started work at the age of 16 in a store at Dacre, Ont., and later at' Balaclava, in 1902, with his brother-in-law, he owned and operated a grocery store at Sault Ste. • Marie' He later returned to Renfrew where he was a manager in a large department store..In 1913, Mr. Mayhew established a general insurance business at Renfrew and continued; with this until 1981, when be became office manager of the York-] ton Enterprise. ISurviving is his aon Kenneth. His wife, Mary Bertha, died in 1927. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrews United church, Yorkton, with Rev. J. E. Jones officiating. Burial will be in the family plot, Renfrew Cemetery, at 2 p.m. Saturday.'
