She.wa* a member of theFirst Methodist church, where she taught Sunday school for many years, and was a member of the Women’s Society of Christian Servticc»Besides her husband, she Is sur* vived by a stepmother, Mrs. Grace Towne, of Frcdonla; two daughters, Miss Beth Marie Hemphill, and Mrs. Marlon E. Wykstra, of Dunkirk; two sisters, Mrs, Nina Bauers and Mrs. Helen Llndberg,of Tucson, Ariz,* a brother, Warren Towne, of Medina. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
