OBITUARYGEORGE MOFFATTIn his 84th year, George Mof. fatt of Maple Grove passed away in • Memorial Hospital,Bowmanville, on Dec. 20. Mr. Moffatt had been in failing health for two years but was confined to bed only for the last four months.The deceased was the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adrew Moffatt and was born in the Township of Clarke, north of Orono. Mr. Moffatt spent most of his life in the Orono district, moving to Maple Grove 20 years ago, where he took a keen interest in gardening.He is survived by one brother, John, of Orono, and two sisters, Margaret (Mrs. A. Allen), Orono, and Elizabeth (Mrs. J. Larkin), Newcastle. Four brothers predeceased him, James, William, Alex and Andrew.Funeral service was held in the Morris Funeral Chapel on Friday, Dec. 23 and was conducted by Rev. T. Arthur Morgan. Three nephews, Gordon Moffatt, Allen Moffatt and Harold Allen, and Wallace Boughen, Marshall Vetzal and John Varcoe were pallbearers. Interment was in Orono Cemetery.
