In 1925, he joined the C.P.R. as a brakeman and then became a conductor, in 1950, he joined Manitoba Hydro from which he retiredin 1969.He was predeceased by his first wife, Olive, brothers, Harry and Wilf and sister, jean.Surviving besides his wife, are sons, William F. Moffat of Leaf Rapids, Bryan E. Moffat of Gretna and James Ridley of Edina, Minn., daughters, Mrs. Robert Hill (Tannis Cora) of Winnipeg, and Mrs. Lorne Fife (Lorraine Mary) of Roland, Man., brother, Lloyd Moffat of Winnipeg, 14 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.A memorial service will be held in Trinity United Church, Saturday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m., the Rev. Dr. A. Grant Smith officiating. The church location is in Fort Richmond, Fort Garry; turn off Pembina Highway onto Killamey and left onto Caledon to the corner of Summerside.The Thomson Funeral Chapels in care of arrangements.
