Early in the war he enlisted in the Anglo-Indian army in German East Africa wherehe served Id months, when he was disabled and- sent to England. After recovering from his wounds he was sent to France. where he served until he was returned to Canada onaccount of ill health, in August, 1918* His brother Douglas was wounded at Courcefette and taken prisoner, dying in a German prison camp. His father, William Moffat, formerly secretary of the. Grain Growers* association, died in Winnipeg 14 months ago.Both the buys were born in Winnipeg an*-* educated here. Douglas enlisted early in the war with the 90th Rifles.
