Dec S—Mrs Abbie I* Atherton died at 11 o’clock this morning at her home on Church at, after along and painful illness. |§She is survived by a widower, Capt Henry B. Atherton, one of the best-known lawyers in the state, three daughters, Mrs A. W. Griswold of New York, Mrs William P. Haaelton of Springfield, Vt, and Miss Anna Atherton of this city, one son, Henry Atherton, a sister, Mrs Wesiey Heminway of Nashua, and two brothers, Harley Armington of this city and George Armington of Ludlow, Vt.Mrs Atherton was a native of Ludlow'. Vt, and had resided in this city nearly all her married life. Her death will be regretted by the entire community, by whom she was beloved, respected and esteemed. She was a true Christian and a rarely beautiful woman in all the relations of life, bearing her own burdens w'lth fortitude and always ready to lessen the burdens of others. Her culture and refinement gave her a prominent position among Nashua women, and her death will leave a vacancy that will be indeed hard to fill.
