SWISHER __Ruth M. PattersonLudvicek, 68, went home to bewith the Lord in her sleep on Wednesday morning, Aug. 21, 19%, at the family home. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Christian’s Meeting Room, 1266 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Castek Cemetery, rural Swisher. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the meeting room. Officiating will be Samuel Ludvicek at the funeral service and Lyle Ludvicek at the gravesite.Ruth is survived by her husband, Emil: five daughters: JoyceBoulard and husband Norman of Louisville, Ky„ Olive Ludvicek of Swisher,Grace Neder-hoff and husband Raymond of Swisher, Gwen Williams and husband Michael of Cedar Rapids and Anita Jackson and husband Vincent of The Colony, Texas: four sons: Samuel and wife Gayl of Longboat Key, Fla., Paul and wife Linda of Swisher. Lyle and wife Ghislaine of West Amana and Kenneth and wife Laura of Amana; 17 grandchildren: a sister, Dorothy Patterson, and two brothers, Bruce and Ted Patterson, all of Saskatchewan, Canada.She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Willard; and a sister, Marion.Ruth was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Tom and Ethel Denzen Patterson. She married Emil L. Ludvicek there on May 10, 1952. She was employed at Amana Refrigeration for more than 19 years.A memorial fund has been established.
