WILLIAM LORD IS DEAD.Inventor of Rubberized Cloth PassesAway in New York.New York, Aug. 13.—William Lord, viho invented rubberized cloth, died at Flower hospital from pneumonia fob lowing an operation. His homo was at No. 310 West One Hundred and Twenty* st(ond street.Mr. Lord had boon chief inspector for the Hartford Tire company, and previously was for thirty-two years general manager of the Lvall Cotton Mills.Born in England, seventy-four years ago, he came to this country when asettled in Lawrence, Mass. He i served as drummer boy in the FortiethMMassachusetts Volunteers throughout the war and was awarded a gold medal of honor. Mr. Lord was a member of the Medal of Honor League and Lafayette post, G. A. R.
