tamer Army AH-American GrkMer Met k (hkagiCHICAGO, April 26 (INS)—Col. Louis A Merillat Jr., Army Air corps, retired, an All-Americanfootball p'ayer at West Point three decades ago, died in the South Shore hospital today. He was 56. Merillat had been ill for a year. The veteran of World Wars I and II was a classmate of Gens. Dwight Eisenhower and Omar Bradley, being graduated in 1915 from the U. S. Military academy.He was selected on the Walter Camp AU-Anierica teams in 1913 and 1914 as an end.Burial will be in Arlington national cemetery, Arlington, Va.Survivors are his widow, and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Chaporis, of Toledo, O., and Miss Ethel Merillat, Los Angeles.
