OBITUARYJOHN MOFFATTThe death occurred at Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville, on Wednesday, April 15, of John Moffatt, R. R. 2, Orono, Ontario, after a two months’ illness. The deceased was in his 81st year.Born in Clarke Township on Jan. 20th, 1879, Mir. Moffatt had been a resident of Clarke Township for the greater part of his life. He was married in Lakefield in 1904 and he and his wife had celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Jan 20th of this year with a small family party.Left to mourn his passing are his wife, the former Edith Allen, two sons, Allen and Gordon of Bowmanville and one daughter Doris (Mrs. O. Reynolds) R. R. 2, Orono; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Alien, Orono, j and Mrs. J. Larkin, Newcastle; thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.The funeral service was held at Morris Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Rev. B. Long, Orono United Church, conducted the service. The pallbearers were six grandsons. Interment was in Orono Cemetery.
