Kate Pier, was the second wo- 1 1nan lawver in Wisconsin lt;Mrstobert M. LaFollette. Sr.. was the irst. Both of her sisters were law- j *; rcrs and her father, the late Col. 1 rolwert Pier, was a veteran of the J a Tivil war. a prominent Fond du Lac tanker and a pioneer in the state's umber industry.Mrs. Simonds was born Harriet lamilton Pier in Fond du Lac. Wis.. j in April 26. 1872.
