Thelma was bom onMay 17, 1929 in Crystal City, MB, and grew up and lived in the Mather District. Thelma married Derwin in 1950, fannednortheast of Cartwright, and raised two sons Gary and Gerald. In 1 Thelma purchased a home and moved to Cartwright, while)88 Derwin andDerwin# L*.Ui'I aInsummer months Thelma could be found working in the garden or tending to her flowers in one of her manv flower beds. In the winter months Thelma and Derwin enjoyed travelingv to manv Bri--i ‘ i■ I1 over the years mademansI TIC SKISwith i touchanalifelong whom Thelma kep with. During these trips they would always come across ex-Cartwrighters. with whomthey would enjoy a visit with. Thelma’s love in life was family and friends and if somebodydropped in unannounced, the coffee pot was on and the dainties were served. She loved children and would gladly lookafter anybody’s kids on shortnotice. Family visits were apleasure for her when Gerald, Debbie, Brad, and Lindsay :ame for summer holidays. Fhelma had great neig who helped her out with rides uptown, rides to church, yard work, or drop in visits just to make sure she was okay. To Ruth Mooney, Mary Livingstone and family, Dale Lam-blez, Ronnie Rattie, Donna Wilm, the late Ruthie Mullin, many others too numerous o mention, we thank you. Later n life Thelma joined the Legion tnd enjoyed the outings at Leri on functions, meetings, anduncheons. In February 2015fhelma relocated to Victoria binding in Brandon, MB where ihe could be closer to Gerald md Lindsay in Brandon, and 3rad in Winnipeg, MB. Thelma mjoyed many Sunday dinners vith Lindsay and Gerald and always looked forward to visits rom Brad, April, and family, fhelma made many friends at Victoria Landing and *e-conneeted with other friends whom she hud known for years, she had a very active social life, fhelma was such a gentle, car-ng, and humble person, and she ouched many hearts. She was always willing to give advice, guidance, or her opinion when . She helped many peoplen their journeys through life.Vhile in hospital, Thelma had utny family and friends stop in ) say hello.
