NEGRO TEACHERS TO HUNTSVILLE; DOCTORS TO MOBILE(11“1,r-h,5-1,Cl,ctItAfter a three days’ interesting session. the annual convention of the Alabama Negro Teachers’ association adjourned in Birmingham, and will hold next year’s session at Huntsville. The sessions of the convention have been the most largely attended in the history of the association. The convention has held its meetings in (he Sixteenth street Baptist church ot which Rev. C. L. Fisher, is pastor, with the exception of the last session, which was held at the Jefferson theatre. The following are the officers named by the association for the ensuing year: C. W. Davis, Birmingham, president; Cornelia Bowen, Waugh, vice president; U. S. Jones, Demopolis, secretary; J. R. Lee, Tus-kegce; corresponding secretary; G. W. Trcnholm, Tuscaloosa, treasurer; W. H. Brazier. Mobile; J. R. Wingfield, Greenville; A. A. Betters. Girard; Maggie Green, Anniston; C. J. Culloway, Tuskegee institute; B. H. Barnes, Tuscaloosa, Mobile Harpc, Gadsden; H. C. Binford, Huntsville; Maggie Gaiters, district vice presidents. The state convention of the Alabama Medical, Dental and Pharmaceutical Association at its meeting selected Mobile as the place for meeting next year and elected the following officers: D. H. C. Scott, of : Montgomery, president; J. W. Davis, i of Sheffield, F. W. Ragland, l'irrn-land, Birmingham, I. B. Kigh, Birmingham. vice presidents; L. U. Goin Birmingham, secretary; T. V. Me-Coo, Opelika, assistant secretary; J. W. Darden. Opelika, treasurer; G. H. Wilkerson, Mobile, historian.
