Robinson Sr. are errors in jury selection, misconduct by prosecutors and lack of jurisdiction for Johnson County judges to issue search warrants outside their jurisdiction.Robinson was convicted and sentenced to die for the deaths of Suzette Trouten, 27, of Newport, Mich., and Izabela Lewicka, 21, of West Lafayette, Ind.He also received a life sentence in Kansas for the murder of a third woman, whose body was never found, and received life in prison in Missouri afterpleading guilty to fiveother murders.Online voter registration startsTOPEKA (AP)— Kansas officials are preparing to announce details of the state’s new online voter registration process.Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh and Revenue Secretary Joan Wagnonscheduled a news conference today in Topeka.Thornburgh’s office launched the online registration system in June without fanfare, to test how it works. Today’s event marks the formal announcement.Kansans still will be able to register in person. The online system gives them an alternative.Kansas had 1.72 million registered voters as of January. The state holds primary and general elections next year for all statewide offices and all 125 members of the House of Representatives.
