J. lay afternoon.Local Men Tour Research FarmA gioup of llancork county men toured the DoKalb Hybrid Seed Company’s research farm near Dayton.They went by chartered bus to the farm and saw the system of research needed to develop top hybrids. They viewed some tests on disease control and growing plots of sorghum.Visitors learned how the research land is tilled, how rotation practices are carried out and whatfertilizers are used. They weretaken step by step through the breeding process used to develop hybrid seed corn for market.Making the trip from Britt were Don Larson, Don Eisenman, Chet Kisenman, Herb Lee. Cleo Eisenman.
