Army Spec. 4 Jerry F. Hatfield, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Hatfield of Coal Mounr tain, recently received the Air Medal in. Vietnam.He earned the award for meritorious service while participating in aerial flight in support of ground operations in Vietnam.Spef. 4 Hatfield has been serving as a rifleman in Co. D, 2d Battalion, 7th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile}'. He entered the Army•in April 1969 and was previouslystaion at Fort Gordon, Ga.He also holds the Combat in fantryman Badge.
