Under Dies In Jap GampCharles F. Linder, jnrnmlc, formerly with the Gas Service company here, died of pneumonia in Fukuoka prison camp, Honshu, Japan, Feb. 10, 1944, according to word received here today by his mother - in - Jawv Mrs. Bertha Wheeler, 221 West Eighth,The death notice received from the war department this week by Mrs. Linder, now in Bremerton, Wash., made mockery of a card she received in August, 1044, six months after hts death. The card,signed in her husband's handwriting, stated he was in good health.Linder, who was serving on the submarine Grenadier, was taken prisoner in the south Pacific 2 Vi years ago. His wife is now employed with the credit department of Sears, Roebuck and Co., In Bremer Ion. Her mother recentlyreturned home after spending a year with her.Besides the wldoWi survivors jare a daughter, Barbara Ellen, eight years old, who is with her mother in Bremerton; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Linder at Inman; a brother, Roseoe Linder of Wichita, and a sister, Mrs. Orville Friesen of Oakland, Calif.i\%it
