Nederland Man Top RecruiterStaff Sergeant Charles T. Lively, son of Mr. and Mrs. Talmadge D. Lively of 1819 Gary Ave., Nederland, was recently named top Army Recruiter in the Fresno California Recruiting Zone for the 4th quarter of fiscal year 1973.The Top Recruiter Award is given each quarter to the Army Recruiter who achieves more quality inlistment than any other recruiter during the period. Normally to be eleigible for the award,~a recruiter must enlist at least, 100 percent of his non-prior service objective, plus fill special-category goals, such as combat arms enlistments and Woman's Army Corps enlistments.Sergeant Lively, a 1966 graduate of NederlandHigh School, joined the army in July, 1966. He served 3 yaars in Southeast Asia, 2 years as art Instructor for the Reserve Officers Training Corp at Tarleton State College In Stephenville, Texas and Is presently the Army Recruiter in Hanford, California.
