Sept. 1919Members of the Famous Players-Lasky company, led by Director Arvid E. Gillstrom and Stars Ring W. Lardner, Jack Gardner and Viola Daniels, arrived in Butte to screen a portion of the great western feature, “So This Is America.”Former Sen. W. A. Clark, presented a new organ to St. John Episcopal church to replace the old instrument, also his gift, whichwas damaged by fire.Jack C. Christie of 526 South Washington returned home after two years of service in the field artillery.Mrs. Charles Carlson of 1219 East First returned from Bozeman where she visited her daughter.The temperature was 37 degrees after a precipitous 30-degree drop within three hours.
