William Koontz of New Enterprise and Cpl- Dale Clabaugh,formerly of Waterside and now living in Roaring Spring, were the returned POWs. Cpl. Claybaugh ] -was accompanied by his wife and j | father, Alvin Claybaugh. Pfc.; Koontz’ father, Wilson, attended j | the meeting with him. A brother, Clair, is a member of the club.The Lions had asked all fourteen of the Cove - Hopewell Township r area Korean veterans to be their J guests at the meeting. Five were j able to be present. They were:: j ° Master Sergeant Cletus Imler of j; New Enterprise R. D.; Cpl. Donald Batzel of Hopewell twp.; Cpl.!. Richard B. Fluke of Hopewell twp.; j1 Sgt. Jack Weicht of New Enter- j \ prise: and Cpl. Maynard Over of j * Woodbury. Several of the veterans *c brought guests.The Lions were pleased to observe that their two honor guests appeared in good health, although j* - j both could well stand a few extra j5 ] pounds of weight. ^ Both Pfc.
