TELLS OF DEATH OF Pfc. MERLIN McKEEYERIn a letter to his parents Corp. How ard C. Hensley, Jr. -of Blandinsville, Illinois, tells of the death of his buddy Pfc. Merlin McKeever of Morning Sun. Sunday the young man’s par_ ents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hensley,Sr. came to Morning Sun from Bland insville to visit Mr. and Mrs. Harry McKeever, parents of the dead marine.According to the • account written by Corp. Hensley the group of which McKeever was a member had just ^ returned from patrol duty and were 'asleep in a bunker when a party of communist troops staged a night attack. The guard at the bunker was killed and 11 grenades and about 150 m rounds from a burp gun were pumped into the midst of the sleeping men.All in the bunker, including the Morn ing Sun man, were killed with the gr exception of one marine who was -j’t gravely wounded.
