Six new voters were made in Marlborough.There are three sets of twins in the Marlborough schools, although there are only 25 children in attendance. The twins are: Edward and Theodore Rankl, aged nine; Martin and Jennie Vashalifski, six; and Corinne and Irving Menard, ten.Middle Haddam was the first community in Middlesex County to go “over the top” in the annual drive for Red Cross memberships. Forty members had been secured by Wednesday. The quota was 35.Mrs. Gunnar Bloomquist of Haddam Neck, who recently fell and strained a ligament, is recovering.Mrs. Martha Hall of Marlborough has moved to Denver, Col.George A. Peck of Westchester has obtained a job in Stonington.Harry Stewart and Stuart Flood have opened a lunch stand near Ostergren’s Garage in Cobalt.Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hallberg of Middle Haddam were guests of honor at a surprise party in celebration of their 10th anniversary recently.Geraldine Selden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard A. Selden of Middle Haddam, celebrated her eighth birthday with a party Monday afternoon.Harry Jack Hammond, son of Mrs. Grace Hammond, has enlisted in the Marine Corps.Miss Madeline Cashion and Morris J. Lanzi will be married on October 30.Carl Sexton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert W. Sexton, and Miss Lida Feindel were married August 14 in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada.Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Rich were given a surprise party last Thursday in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary.Miss Violet Carlson and Albert Nyman were guests of honor at a surprise miscellaneous shower Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. Raymond Hitchcock. ^The resignation of T.
