HARLAN HECKER SERVING ABOARD USS KITTY HAWKHarlan N. Hecker, aviation structural mechanic third class USN, yon of Mr. and Mrs. Neal B. Heeker of 9760 White Oak Ave., Northridge, is serving aboard the USS Kitty Hawk, an attack aircraft j carrier, which just completed ; an eight month deployment to 1 Vietnam. iThe Kitty Hawk, which was : ! the first ship to receive a Presidential Unit Citation for* performance during the Viet-: nam conflict, conducted widespread operations in the area ranging from the Tonkin Gulf to the Sea of Japan.• The ship spent 114 days in five line: periods. During thisi time it provided fire support - for Allied troops engaged inf I ground action. The Kitty I \ I-Jawk also visited numerous : ports during its tour in the Orient.
