Sixth district commanders, and Melvin Allen, the present district commander.y:Viet Nam veterans were made eligible by action at the recent national convention held in Washington, D. C., and approved by Congress.First to receive the obligation were: Paul Von Leer, M^Sgt.Archer Ellinger, Thomas RobRobertCrum and Larry J. McCabe.Commander Hamilton compli mented the council for the work they have done over the years, especially in the school awards lt;program and oratorical contens.He announced that the nation- j al Americanism committee has selected Terre Haute to serve as host for the 1967 national re gional finals of the National Oratorical contest. This means that the winners of seven states will compete here in early April next year under the direction of Fred W. Schwartz who served as statechairman for the past three years.
