Sedona Marine Named Boot Camp Honor ManBy ELIZABETH RIGBYSEDONA—Last Wednesday was a great day for three yQung men from Sedona.They were graduated from boot camp at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, Calif.The three recruits, William C. Norman, Michael Shott, and Paul Lemieux, all graduates of Flagstaff High School, enlisted together this year as members of the Arizona Platoon.They graduated with Platoon 145, Company B, 1st Recruit Training Battalion.THEIR PROUD parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman A. Norman,Mr. and Mrs. James Lemieux and Fred Shott, all attended the graduation exercises and were delighted to hear Maj. F. C.Cushing Jr., the commanding officer, say, “If Sedona has 100 more young men like these three, we’ll be glad to take them all!”The Normans were especially pleased when their son was named honor man of the Arizona Platoon.
