Circle, Sept. 21.— It's a far cry from Tire Ip to Japan but, after all, hi ones arc brones and ho should not a born rider do as well In one place as the other, PFC Avon Fritz, son of Mi*, and Mrs. A. J Fritz, is with the American army of occupation in Japan. Not long ago, an lt;)\Vl statement says, the ISTth glider infantry, of which lie is a member, gave a rodeo. Hlders from other American units competed.Outstanding honors were taken by the Montana bronco buster. Some of tlie stunts were rough indeed, hut Private Fritz stayed inthe saddle—the only competitor who did. However, he was a ranch hand here before he went to war, and keeping your seat, on the hurricane deck of a range pony is a conventional part of job, in these parts. Young Fritz entered the armv in March, 1945. and was assigned to an air-borne division. In this section lie has starred at football as well as at bronc busting.
