There were less than 100 of the old boys present The forenoon was spent in the usual handshake. A fine dinner was served by the local | W. R. C.; but the occasion of special interest was the campfire in the even-| ingr. Dr. Reefy presided and the program was made up of music and short pertinent speeches.| A bright welcome address was given by Rev W. E. Cadmus. Capt. Geo. Groot, of Cleveland, responded to “The Veterans” in behalf of the young men and made a neat little speech which j was well received. ‘Mr. Birdsall next followed with an amusing lecture on “Mother Hubbard” which took the I house by storm. Dr. P D. Reefy gave ja very interesting historical review' of the Eighth O. V. I., and Mrs. W. F. I Parsons closed the program in behalf of the W. R. C.I The occasion was one of unusual in-terest. The old veterans received a hearty welcome by the local post and the Relief Corps. The bounteous dinner was fit for a king, but best of all was the welcome extended. The occasion was one never to be forgotten. Considering the hardships the boys had to pass through, they are a wellpreserved lot of men.
