DeBolt.As has been the custom for approximately three decades, the mummers parade will be under sponsorship of the New Haven Hose Company. Cash prizes will be offered to those participating in the procession.Plans for the yearly night of gaiety will be outlined by the hose company at its meeting Friday evening, September 21, when committees will be appointed to work cut various details.The starting time ol the parade probably will be advanced from the usual hour in order not to conflict with the football game which is scheduled for the same night at Coker Stadium.Malty Bain,State BoxingCommissioner,Dies SuddenlyDISTRICTSOLDIERSLEAVEMidty Bain, 49, of Uniontown, member of the State Athletic Commission and widely known for his activity in sports and American Legion circles, died suddenly at 4:03 o’clock Tuesday aftejnoon in Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh of a cerebral hemorrhage suffered in his office in a Pittsburgh building a few hoursbefore.A native of Dunbar, Bain had been appointed to the Pennsylvania body, controlling boxing and wrestling, by Governor Edward Martin June 18, 1943, serving the western section of the Stale. Prudente, son of Mrs. Carmine Prudente of 123 South Eighth street, arrived home Tuesday after having served 20 months in the European Theater of Operations with an antiaircraft Unit, attached to General Courtney II. Hodges’ First Army. He entered the service nearly three years ago and had participated in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central European campaigns, lie wears the European-African-Me-diterranean theater ribbons with five battle stars and the Good Conduct Medal. The sergeant received his discharge from the armed forces at Indiantown Gap Military Reservation and plans to reopen his barber shop in the near future.Fayette County Local Draft Board No 8, with headquarters in the courthouse at Uniontown and serving the mountain districts, has issued calls for men to report for their pre-induction examinations and Induction.There were 45 men in the contingent which went to Pittsburgh today for their pre-induction physical' examinations While a group of eight will leave tomorrow morning for induction into the armed forces.
