The following resolution was adopted:“Whereas, the Commercial Club and the good] people of Harrison, regardless of political affiliation, have shown their kindness and hospitality in so many ways to us, be it resolved that we, the Ross Ruble Camp of Confederate Veterans, express our thanks and gratitude to them.“Whereas, forty-nine years have passed since we stacked arms, being without food, our Confederate money being of no value, and with no chance to procure clothing, we came home with the determination to make good and loyal citizens, and whereas, the Daughters of the Confederacy have always been so kind and mindful of our interests and pleasure, ever ready to lend a helping hand in every way possible, and never forgetting us. be it resolved that Ross Ruble Camp express their thanks.
