Rev. P. Halluwell went to Kensett this morning, to visit a niece, Mrs.Horsberg, of that place.Dr. E. *T. Waddey is in receipt of-.,the grateful news that his sister, Miss E. B. Waddey, passed through the terrible calamity at Galveston safely. Miss Waddey will be remembered by many Waterloo people, as she spent last winter with her brother in this city, and went to Galveston from here.The Twin City Ministerial association will hold its first annual picnic next Monday at Cedar River park. The rendezvous will be at the Sweeney cottage. A ministerial meeting will be held at 10 o’clock at which a paper will be read by Rev. Marquis, ‘pastor of the Presbyterian church at Cedar Falls on “The Critics and the World ” A picnic dinner will be served at noon.
