All was bustle in cann as is usual on such occasions;tathe soldiers being nthat they were going somewhere onthe river below the city, or going totembark for Cincinnati, ami you canimagine how readily the)the orders when they feel that the changeis going to result in their better accoui-rmodation. Every thing in camp—wagY-Ions, ambulances, and every other “packs”belonging to camp, moved out with thecoluma at an earlv hour, on thetleading to the city. The day was hot. ‘but the boys stood the tiamp to the citycvery well, and the whole march wouldhave passed off without much hard fee’*Iing, had it not been for the inhuman or- r11del* of “double muck,” afterfWBroadway and turning down\This done the deed. W e did not1whether we were, by running, leaving an enemy behind, or advancing to meet one ! never thinking for a moment, that sucha movement was entirely uncalled for, orthat it was purposely made to please the!nun on the silver-tipped, horse, and thegood t ifizen.N of Louisville. Cruf had been boasting of the tine a ppi a ranee of the 90th, tothe citizens «f Louisville, who,as is natural with those that know nothing aboutthe lianLhips attending such a show, requested him to bring the Regiment to1town, which was done as 1 have stated.*The result was, hundreds of poor fellows*gave out, and many no doubt will neverrecover from the effects of that doublequick. It caused a vast amount of hardAand hitter swearing.
