Andrew Fults. seaman recruit, of 1900 Baltimore St., is undergoing training at the world’s largest Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, 111.Recruit training is the sharp break between civilian and navallife in which the new Navy man learns the fundamental principles of the naval service.Tn the course of his training, the recruit is taught seamanship, Navy customs, terms, basic ordnance. gunnery, signaling and navigation.Upon completion of his training the recruit is assigned either to units of the Fleet or to a service school for specialized training.
