Four Navajo County youths will be, among those in Arizona’s Airborne platoon, it was an nounced this week by Recruiting Sergeant Aaron Walker, of Win slow. They are Cecil Jenkins, 19, Winslow,who has already been accepted and will leave Septem ber ‘28 to join the platoon, John L. Tedder, 18, Winslow, William R. Sherrard, 19, Winslow, and Hilbert .R. Jones, 19, Holbrook, all of whom are also being pro cessed. It is necessary to volunteer , in order to be a member of Ariz zona’s own Airbone platoon, Sgu Walker pointed out, which will enable friends who enlist to gether to train’ ‘nd serve to gether.
