ARRIVE FOR DUTY—Tht vanguard of the 491st, Quartermaster Petroleum Depot Company above being greeted at Fort Williams by Col. Lloyd Odeppert, fort commandant. Shaking hands with him U Capt. Oeorge Ingraham. Frycbuff, commanding officer of the outfit. Standing, left to right. Pvt. A. 8. Hammond, Sanford; Pvt, P. E. Brackett, Rangeley Lakes, Sgt. O. A. Rogers, Rockland: Pvt. Francis Collins, Rangeley Lakes, and sgt. W. E. Field. North Berwick They will be quartered at the Grand View Hotel, Preble Street, South Portland, until assigned to a training camp. It is Maine's first organized army reserve unit to be activated.
