we will get out, |is we are waiting fororders and they are very slow. Idon’t care very much, as this is anice place and tbe people treat us ^ine in every way. It is an old historical country and lots of interesting things to see. We visited a Castle yester-day about a mile down the road and it was lovely. The grounds were perfectly beautiful and were kept in such a good condition. Some of the boys are stationed there awaiting or-ders. It is four hundred years old and is now owned by a Captain in the French army. He is at the front now. There is an old church across the street from where we are staying that is eleven hundred years old, and it too is in perfect condition.Anrtr -ffnV m ,All buildings in this country are built of rock. ( don’t think I have seen but two frame buildings since I have been in this country. When they build a house it is to stay.
